Text tools look harmless, which is exactly why people paste anything into them: a draft contract, an internal memo, an unpublished article, a customer e-mail. Every one of those is content somebody would rather not hand over for a word count.
Everything here runs locally. Where a tool remembers a draft it uses this browser’s own storage, which never reaches us, and clearing it removes the draft for good.

No. It is processed in your browser, and any remembered draft lives in this browser’s local storage.
Do these work offline?
Yes, once the page has loaded. Nothing here needs a server.
Is there a length limit?
Only what your browser can hold. Very long documents may make typing feel sluggish because counts update on every keystroke.
