Most of what is here starts in your own camera roll — the place cards and leftover labels start from a typed list instead. Eight printables, each made in your browser, printed at home, and costing paper and ink — nothing uploaded, no account.
What can I make here for Thanksgiving?
-
Leftover labels with the use-by date worked out. Type the dishes going home with guests and print flat labels that carry the dish, an optional from line, the cooked-on date and the computed use-by date — 3 to 4 days in the fridge or 3 to 4 months in the freezer, the USDA’s numbers (checked 1 October 2026). Make leftover labels →
-
Place cards with your guests’ names typed in. One line per guest, four fold-over cards per printed sheet — cut, fold, and the name reads from both sides of the table. Make place cards → The full job — what each card says, who sits where, when to print — is in the guide How to make Thanksgiving place cards and get the seating right.
-
Coloring pages of the family. A photo of the dog, grandma, the house — turned into black outlines on white paper for the kids’ table, with a title line such as “Thanksgiving 2026” on each sheet. Make a coloring page →
-
A memory game from the same photos. The faces the children know, printed as pairs on card sheets with cut lines and card backs — one deck, and the table entertains itself, at dinner and after. Make a memory game →
-
A thankful-for book of the year. One photo per month, January to November, joined into a single tidy PDF — printed for the table or emailed to everyone after dinner. Make a photo book →
-
A thankful tree with everyone’s faces. Leaf cards with your photos cropped into circles, each with a typed gratitude line and a name — plus blank write-in leaves and the tree page to pin everything on. Six leaves per sheet, A4 or Letter, and nothing uploaded. Make a thankful tree →
-
Frame-size prints. Photos resized to the exact measurements of a frame, for the hallway or a memory table — the image resizer takes any size in pixels, and its A4 at 300 DPI preset makes a full-sheet print in one click.
-
A table card that opens the family album. If the family shares photos in a group album, a QR code printed on a table card or the menu points every phone at it — generated locally, printed in seconds.

What do families usually print for Thanksgiving?
The honest landscape, checked 24 September 2026: the classic Thanksgiving printables are place cards, menus, “I am thankful for…” sheets and kids’-table activity pages — and the template sites have those covered free (whatdowedoallday.com’s color-in place cards, thesprucecrafts.com’s printable sets, learningresources.com, hallmark.com’s kids’-table activities). Paying for them is unnecessary: Etsy sellers charge $3.50–$20 for place-card PDFs, and HP’s printables page sits behind a $7.99-a-month subscription.
What none of those templates can do is put your photos in the printable — and for place cards, the blank template still leaves you handwriting every name, which is why the place card maker starts from your typed guest list instead. A blank template is the same for every family; a coloring page of the family’s actual dog is not. That is the lane of this page: printables made from your list and your year.
How do I make coloring pages from family photos?
- Pick photos with one clear subject on a plain background — a face in even light, the dog looking at the camera, the house from the front. Busy group shots turn into dense line networks.
- Drop each photo into the photo to coloring page tool and adjust the Detail slider if the page comes out too busy — left keeps only the strongest lines.
- Put a title line on the sheet: “Thanksgiving 2026”, a name, “For the kids’ table”.
- Print a stack — one per child plus spares — and put out crayons. Printing is free and unlimited, so spares cost paper, not pride.
The honest limit: the tool draws the true outline of the photo — classic edge detection, not a smooth redraw. Faces children recognize come out well; crowded dinner-table scenes do not.
The full plan for that table — what to put on it, ages, the tablecloth routes, timing — is in the guide Thanksgiving kids’ table ideas you can print at home.
How do I make a thankful-for book of the year?
Pick one photo per month — twelve photos, twelve pages, one page per photo by the tool’s own assembly (computed, not estimated). Join them with the images to PDF tool on A4 or Letter, in month order. Print one copy to pass around the table, or email the PDF to everyone afterwards — a book of the year everyone just lived through, made in the time the turkey rests.
JPEG and PNG both work; an iPhone photo needs converting first (HEIC to JPG does it on your device). The PDF embeds photos without recompressing them, so the file is about as large as the photos combined — fine for printing, and check the size before emailing a dozen full-resolution shots.
How do I make a thankful tree with everyone’s faces?
The thankful tree maker prints the gratitude tree the template sites cannot: leaf cards with your own photos cropped into circles, a typed gratitude line and a name beneath each face. Nine leaves from four photos, six to a sheet on A4 or Letter, the bare tree page prints last — and blank write-in leaves print from the same tool for guests who would rather write on the day. A black-and-white mode keeps the ink down for a hallway tree.
Assembly is tape, not craft: pin the tree page to a door, a wall or a poster board, cut the leaves, and everyone adds theirs as they arrive. The typed lines matter for the two pairs of hands the blank templates forget — the grandparent who cannot write comfortably any more, and the grandchild who cannot write at all. Both get finished leaves with their faces on them. The whole job, start to finish, is in the guide How to make a thankful tree.
When should I start?
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Choose the photos | any November evening | the slow part is choosing, not making |
| Test print | week of 16 November | paper and ink surprises belong before the day |
| Coloring pages and book | after the test print | minutes each |
| Frame prints and QR card | any time | minutes each |
Thanksgiving 2026 is Thursday 26 November. Nothing here needs weeks of lead time — the making is minutes; the only deadline that matters is the test print.
