Trunk-or-Treat Kit Generator

Runs in your browser · nothing is uploaded

Preview — both sheets at true proportions. Sheet one is the flyer; sheet two carries the entrance sign and the car sign-up sheet with dashed cut lines.

A trunk-or-treat kit generator turns your event details into the three things an organiser prints: a flyer that says who, when and where; a sign for the entrance; and a sign-up sheet for the cars handing out candy. Type the details, print two sheets, hand them out. Everything is drawn in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

What the kit contains

Sheet one is the flyer. It leads with the event name, then host, date, time, place and one note line — each in type sized to fit, so a long place name shrinks instead of running off the page. Leave a field empty and the flyer prints a dashed write-in line with a tiny label instead, so a blank kit still works as a template you fill in by hand.

Sheet two carries the day’s other two pieces: the entrance sign, and the sign-up sheet for cars — six write-in rows for names and trunk themes, split into two columns. Anything left empty prints as a dashed write-in line there too.

Why the car, not the door

Trunk-or-treat moved Halloween into car parks because one contained place, earlier in the evening, beats a dark street for small children — and because a car boot decorated once serves a hundred children without a single doorbell. The organisers are parent groups, churches and neighbourhood associations, which is why this kit is shaped like an organiser’s tool: promote, recruit cars, then run the day. The Halloween hub’s timing table gives this kit’s flyers one to two weeks of lead time — first in the season’s order of work, because cars need time to sign up.

The car with the open boot in the corner of every piece is drawn, not licensed clip art — like everything on this page, it exists only in your browser.

Printing it well

Print at 100 percent — “actual size”, not “fit to page” — and every piece comes out true to size on A4 or US Letter. Cut sheet two along the dashed lines; sheet one is the flyer whole.

For the rest of the event, the hub carries the neighbours: the pumpkin carving stencil generator for the pumpkins beside the cars, the boo basket kit generator if the event includes gifting, and the papel picado banner generator for stringing letters across the car park.

When the season ends, the bench keeps working: the family and kids page collects the printables families use all year, from coloring pages to wish lists.

Questions

What is trunk or treat?

A Halloween event where families decorate the open boots of their cars and park them in a row — a school, church or community car park — and children trick-or-treat from car to car instead of door to door. It runs at a set time, in one contained place, which is exactly why parent groups, churches and schools run them.

What does the kit contain?

Two sheets. Sheet one is the flyer: your host, date, time, place and one note line, printed full page. Sheet two carries the entrance sign and the sign-up sheet for cars — six write-in rows for names and trunk themes, split into two columns. Anything you leave empty becomes a dashed write-in line, so a blank kit still works as a hand-out template.

When should I hand out the flyers?

Early enough that families can put the date in the calendar — think one to three weeks before the event. Flyers go home in school bags, into church newsletters and onto community boards; the entrance sign and sign-up sheet are for the day and the run-up.

How do I get enough decorated cars?

Put the sign-up sheet where the adults are — a staff room, the church hall, a group chat screenshot — and let each car pick its own theme. Six signed-up cars is a real event; more is a party. Ask each car to bring their own candy, and say so on the flyer's note line.

What paper should I use?

Plain printer paper for the flyers you hand out. The entrance sign lasts better on card, or in a plastic sleeve taped to a fence. The ink-saver palette prints outlines only, which costs almost nothing and doubles as a colouring-in sheet for children.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. The kit is drawn and the PDF assembled entirely in your browser. No account, no watermark, and no request carries what you typed.
