From fixture email to notice board in two minutes
The poster carries the six things a fixture actually needs: your club name big, the opponent below it, the competition label, the date, the kick-off and the venue. The colour band does the design work — you pick navy and gold, forest green or maroon, and the poster is done. There is no template gallery to click through and no account wall at the download: Print A4 poster sends the true-size sheet to your printer, Download share PNG saves the 1080 × 1350 image for the team chat, with no watermark on either.
If a crest is uploaded it sits at the top of the band, sized to fit; if not, the club initials are drawn in a ring in its place, so the poster never looks half-finished. The details you type are remembered in this browser for next week’s fixture — the crest is not, because it is a file on your device and it stays there.
Why the print comes first
Match-day posters get printed. This one is drawn for paper: a true A4 portrait sheet with the type sizes set for reading across a clubhouse, and a deliberate white border so home and office printers cannot clip the band. It also survives the black-and-white printer in the corridor — the light text only ever sits on the dark band, and the rest is dark text on white, so a black-and-white copy stays fully readable. For the team WhatsApp group, the PNG is the same poster at phone size, and it carries no footer or credit: what you share is your poster.
Honest limits
For the end-of-season set built on the same club details — player cards, certificates, this poster as one page of a bigger PDF, a thank-you card and a party checklist — see the Soccer Season Pack.
The three colour themes are fixed — this is a fixture poster, not a brand-studio tool, and every text pair on it was checked for contrast rather than chosen by eye. There is no photo background and no player list on the poster; for the team sheet with every name on the pitch, use the youth soccer line-up sheet generator, and the sports hub collects what a coaching Saturday needs as it grows. If your league wants the fixture list as one document, the neighbouring tools can combine pages into a PDF.
The full paperwork walk of a coaching Saturday — poster, team sheet, score keeping — is in the youth soccer game-day guide, including the age-group format ladder this fixture belongs to.
Questions
Is the poster really free, and does it have a watermark?
Yes and no. There is no account, no sign-up step and no watermark — not on the print and not on the PNG. The PNG you download is exactly the poster you see, ready to share in the team chat.
What do I get, exactly?
Two files from the same details. Print gives a true A4 portrait poster for the notice board. The PNG button saves a 1080 × 1350 image — the size social apps show well — for WhatsApp, Facebook groups or Instagram.
Will it print properly in black and white?
Yes. The colour themes are chosen so the text stays readable when the poster comes out of a black-and-white laser printer: light lettering sits only on the dark band, and the rest of the poster is dark text on white.
What happens to the crest I upload?
It is opened in your browser and drawn onto the poster on your device. It is never uploaded, never stored anywhere and disappears when you close the tab. If you skip the crest, the poster uses your club's initials in a ring instead.
Can I use my club's exact colours?
Not yet — the maker offers three fixed themes (navy and gold, forest green, maroon), each checked for readable contrast. Clubs that need exact brand colours usually get them from their association's design kit; this poster is for the volunteer who needs something on the board tonight.
Does the tool work for other sports?
The poster itself is sport-neutral — nothing on it says soccer unless you type it. The line-up sheet generator next to it is soccer-specific, with the pitches and formations youth leagues play.
How do I print it at the right size?
In the print dialog choose A4 paper and "actual size" (some browsers call it 100% or scale 1:1) rather than "fit to page". The poster keeps a small white border by design, so no printer cuts into the band.
